Hi, I'm John. I've been teaching English for more than nine years, and in that time I've worked with over 15,000 students across Latin America, Europe, and Japan.
Most of my students are software developers and IT professionals who already work in English, or want to. We practice the English they actually use: meetings, stand-ups, code reviews, presentations, job interviews, and the small talk that builds working relationships.
I also teach general English and TOEFL preparation for learners at every stage, from building confidence in everyday conversation to reaching a target test score.
Every lesson is one-on-one and built around real conversation. I'm a native speaker with a General American accent, the clear, neutral accent you hear most in American media and business.
I speak Spanish and Italian, so I know firsthand what it takes to learn a new language as an adult. That helps me spot exactly where Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese speakers tend to get stuck, and what gets them unstuck.
